How to Watch Videos on Honda Display Audio

Did you know that you can hook up your Smartphone (or any other video device that is compatible with an HDMI cable) to the Honda Display Audio 7” touch screen? You can, and it’s easy. It’s great for when you’ve got some time to kill and don’t want to watch video or look at pictures on your tiny Smartphone screen. Here’s a quick instructional checklist as well as a video to walk you through how to watch videos on your Honda Display Audio 7” screen.

Step 1:
Make sure the transmission is in park and the engine is off (for manual transmissions, engage the emergency brake).

Step 2:
Push the Start/Stop button once to accessory mode to turn on the display screen, as if you were going to listen to the radio with the car engine off.

Step 3:
Touch the “Home” icon in the upper left hand corner of the touch screen (if you don’t see the Home icon, then you are already on the home screen)

Step 4:
Push the Audio icon.

Step 5:
Select the HDMI option.

Step 6:
Plug your Smartphone or compatible device into the HDMI port in the center console. (You’ll need the appropriate adapter and cable).

Step 7:
Select whatever you want to view on the Honda Display Audio 7” screen, such as YouTube, NetFlix or any other streaming video service you get on your phone. (Note: use the volume control on the left of the Display Audio Screen. You will hear the video sound through the cars audio system).

You can also use Honda Display Audio to view any photos or videos you have stored on your phone.  That’s it!
