2019 Honda Ridgeline Stands Alone in IIHS Top Safety Pick Lineup

The 2019 Honda Ridgeline is the only Pick-Up Truck to earn an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK rating.* It also earned a “Superior” rating in the Crash Avoidance &  Mitigation category for its available Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), which is part of the Honda Sensing® suite of driver assistive and safety technologies.

Honda Sensing® comes standard on the 2019 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E and Black Edition trims, and combines Forward Collision Warning; Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) incorporating Lane Departure Warning (LDW); Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS); and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) for 360 degrees of enhanced visibility and protection. The LED low-beam headlights, also standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition trims, earned an IIHS “Good” rating for their ability to provide optimal illumination at significant distances.

The 2019 Ridgeline joins the 2019 Accord, CR-V, Pilot, and Odyssey in the TOP SAFETY PICK lineup,  (the Insight earned a TOP SAFETY PICK+). And the 2019 Honda’s aren’t just impressing the IIHS with their forward thinking safety features; each 2019 Honda model which has undergone a complete evaluation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) NCAP testing has earned a 5-Star Overall vehicle safety score.
